* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 229 AM EDT, radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy
rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of
rain has fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are
possible.
- Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Columbus, Dublin, Westerville, Reynoldsburg, Grove City, Upper
Arlington, Gahanna, Hilliard, Pickerington, Worthington, Bexley,
Jefferson, Pataskala, Powell, Canal Winchester, Groveport,
Johnstown, Plain City and West Jefferson.
Instructions
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
