The National Weather Service (NWS) in Mount Holly has issued a Flash Flood Warning for parts of southeastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey. The warning is in effect until 10:30 PM EDT on June 22,
Thunderstorms in the area have already produced between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain, with an additional 0.5 to 1 inch expected. Rainfall rates are estimated at 1 to 1.5 inches per hour, which could lead to flash flooding. Areas affected include Bucks County, Montgomery County, and parts of Philadelphia in Pennsylvania, as well as Burlington County in New Jersey. Key highways such as Interstate 295, the New Jersey Turnpike, and Interstate 95 are also within the warning zone.

Flash flooding is either ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned areas. This could result in flooding of small creeks, streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses. Low-lying areas and drainage systems are particularly vulnerable. Residents in Philadelphia, Bensalem, Florence, and other nearby locations should remain alert.
