The National Hurricane Center (NHC) is monitoring two tropical waves in the Atlantic Ocean, designated as Invest 92 and Invest 94, with potential for development into tropical depressions or storms.
Invest 92, located near the Windward Islands, is experiencing unfavorable conditions such as increasing upper-level winds and drier air, reducing its chances of development to 10% over the next two to seven days.

Impact & Risks

Invest 92 is expected to bring gusty winds near gale force and heavy rainfall to parts of the Lesser Antilles tonight and Saturday, despite its low likelihood of development. Invest 94 poses a longer-term risk, with some computer models suggesting it could approach Florida after passing near Puerto Rico and Hispaniola. However, its development chances are limited due to unfavorable environmental conditions. Residents in affected areas should remain vigilant as the height of hurricane season, typically mid-August to mid-October, begins.
