A Heat Advisory is in effect for portions of Southeast Michigan, including Metro Detroit, from noon to 8 PM today.
Heat indices are forecasted to range between 96°F and 102°F (36°C to 39°C) this afternoon and again on Thursday.

Why It's Important?

Residents in Southeast Michigan, particularly those along and south of the I-96 corridor, should prepare for dangerous heat conditions during the afternoon hours. Prolonged exposure to high heat indices can lead to heat-related illnesses. Additionally, thunderstorms tonight and Thursday night may bring damaging winds, heavy rainfall, and localized flooding. The Slight Risk for severe weather on Thursday night indicates a higher likelihood of impactful storms.
