The Nashville Predators have signed forward Jack Drury to a five-year, $22.5 million contract just four days after acquiring him in a trade with the Colorado Avalanche.
Drury, 26, played all 82 games in the 2025-26 NHL season, scoring 10 goals and matching his career-high of 27 points.

Impact & Risks

Drury's addition strengthens the Predators' depth at center, addressing a key area of need. His strong faceoff performance and defensive reliability make him a valuable asset for the team. However, the trade and contract represent a significant investment, and the Predators will need Drury to maintain his performance levels to justify the deal. The Avalanche, meanwhile, gain two young forwards who could contribute to their future success.
