Madison County, Indiana, remains under a Flood Warning as heavy rainfall last week—exceeding 10 inches in some areas—has caused significant flooding along the White River.
The river, currently at 12.2 feet as of 8:30 PM EDT Sunday, is expected to crest at 17.7 feet near Centerton by Monday morning.

Impact & Risks

Flooding has disrupted transportation and access in Madison County, with roads like Grand Avenue near Broadway Street Bridge becoming nearly impassable. Parks such as Irondale, Madison Avenue, and Mounds State Park are experiencing flooding, and Edgewater Park in Anderson has been closed. Residents near the White River should remain vigilant as water levels remain above flood stage. Even minor flooding can pose risks to property and safety, particularly in low-lying areas.
