• Heavy rainfall and strong winds have been reported across parts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, leading to significant damage to agriculture, infrastructure, and daily life.
• According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the adverse weather conditions have caused waterlogging, localised flooding, and damage to crops such as rice, maize, and sugarcane.

Impact & Risks

The heavy rain and strong winds have disrupted road and rail traffic, caused localised landslides, and led to waterlogging in low-lying areas. Agricultural losses are significant, with standing crops and plantations such as banana and papaya being particularly affected. Vulnerable structures, including kutcha houses and huts, have sustained minor damage. The adverse weather also poses risks to small vessels and onshore activities, necessitating caution in these areas.
