• A tight pressure gradient between a 1031 mb high-pressure system over New England and a stationary front extending from south of Bermuda to a 1010 mb low near western Cuba is causing fresh to gale-force northeasterly winds and rough to very rough seas north of the front and west of the low.
• Winds are reaching minimal gale force near 31N73W.

Impact & Risks

Mariners in the affected areas north of 28N and west of 65W should be cautious as strong winds and rough seas pose significant risks to navigation. The conditions are particularly hazardous for small vessels, with seas reaching very rough levels. Coastal areas near the Bahamas and Bermuda may also experience impacts from the strong winds and scattered thunderstorms.
