• Indian-origin NASA astronaut Anil Menon has commenced his first mission to the International Space Station (ISS). He launched aboard Russia's Soyuz MS-29 spacecraft from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan at 08:17 PM IST on July 15,
• Menon is joined by Roscosmos cosmonauts Pyotr Dubrov and Anna Kikina. The spacecraft docked with the ISS after a three-hour journey. This eight-month mission will focus on scientific research and technology demonstrations, with the crew expected to return to Earth in April 2027.
