The ongoing heavy rainfall has exacerbated flooding in Odisha, affecting over 67,000 residents across three districts. Areas such as Balasore, Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur, Keonjhar, Kendrapara, and Mayurbhanj are particularly at risk, alongside other districts including Jajpur, Cuttack, Sundergarh, and Sambalpur. Squally weather with wind speeds of 40-50 kmph, gusting up to 60 kmph, is expected along the Odisha coast until 31 August, posing risks to maritime activities and coastal communities.
