• A large nor'easter is currently situated offshore in the northwestern Atlantic, influencing Maryland's weather with crisp, cool, and breezy conditions.
• The storm is expected to meander slowly through the middle of the workweek, keeping the worst impacts of rain and wind out at sea.

Impact & Risks

Coastal areas, particularly along the Maryland and Delaware beaches, may experience minor flooding during high tides from Tuesday through Thursday. Beach erosion is also expected, with gusts reaching up to 40 mph (64 km/h) along the shoreline. Ocean City is likely to see more significant tidal flooding due to its proximity to the storm. Inland areas, including Baltimore, will remain largely unaffected, aside from breezy afternoons and evenings. The nor'easter has a medium chance of developing subtropical characteristics, but this is not expected to alter local impacts.
