The Bay Area is experiencing a significant heat wave, with temperatures reaching around 80°F (27°C) in coastal areas and climbing into the triple digits in some inland locations.
A Heat Advisory has been issued and will remain in effect through Thursday night.

Impact & Risks

The ongoing heat wave poses risks to public health, especially for individuals sensitive to high temperatures, such as the elderly, children, and those with pre-existing health conditions. Outdoor workers and those without access to air conditioning are also at increased risk of heat-related illnesses. The inland areas, where temperatures are expected to exceed 100°F (38°C), are particularly vulnerable. Residents are urged to take precautions to avoid heat exhaustion or heat stroke.
