Bengaluru is currently experiencing temperatures 4°C above the seasonal average, with current readings between 32°C and 33°C.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has reported that Karnataka as a whole may see temperatures rise by an additional 2–3°C in the coming week.

Impact & Risks

The elevated temperatures are likely to impact daily life in Bengaluru and other parts of Karnataka. Residents may face heat-related health issues such as dehydration and heat exhaustion. The agricultural sector could also be affected due to reduced soil moisture, potentially impacting crop health. Vulnerable groups, including children and the elderly, are at a higher risk of heat-related illnesses during this period.
