Impact & Risks

The heavy rainfall and subsequent waterlogging disrupted daily life in Bengaluru, particularly during peak evening hours. Motorists faced significant challenges navigating flooded roads, while pedestrians struggled with waterlogged stretches. Areas like Hoodi Metro station, Yelahanka, and Whitefield were among the worst affected, with clogged drains exacerbating the flooding. Fallen trees blocked roads in Vijnana Nagar and near Vidhya Soudha School, halting traffic in those areas. Commuters reported delays and minor traffic jams across several neighbourhoods, including Sahakara Nagar and Thanisandra Road.
