The National Hurricane Center (NHC) is monitoring a disorganized area of storms approximately 800 miles east-southeast of Bermuda.
As of 8 p.m.

Impact & Risks

At this time, the disturbance poses no threat to Florida or other land areas. The high wind shear in the region is expected to inhibit significant development in the coming days. However, October is historically an active month for tropical systems, and residents in hurricane-prone areas should remain vigilant. Past storms, such as Hurricane Milton in October 2024, have demonstrated the potential for severe impacts during this period, including tornado damage and storm surge.
