• The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rainfall in 25 districts of Bihar as the monsoon weakens across the state.
• Winds are expected to reach speeds of 30–40 kmph, with a possibility of lightning strikes.

Impact & Risks

Flooding caused by the rising Ganga river has already disrupted road connectivity in districts such as Begusarai, Munger, and Lakhisarai. Villages in Munger's Dharhara block have been inundated, forcing residents to relocate to safer areas. The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) has been deployed to assist with evacuations. Lightning strikes and moderate winds may pose risks to infrastructure and personal safety in the affected districts.
