A Flood Watch has been issued for portions of southeast Texas, including areas such as Bolivar Peninsula, Chambers, Coastal Galveston, and Montgomery.
The watch is in effect from late tonight through Wednesday morning, as heavy rainfall associated with Potential Tropical Cyclone Five is expected to impact the region.

Impact & Risks

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall may lead to flooding in rivers, creeks, streams, and other flood-prone areas. Urban regions and areas with poor drainage are particularly vulnerable to flash flooding. The highest rainfall totals are expected east of I-45, where localized flooding could disrupt transportation and pose risks to property and safety. Residents in these areas should remain vigilant and monitor local updates.
