Another cool, wet weekend is set to hit New England as a stubborn spring weather pattern continues across the Northeast.
Forecasters say an Omega block will bring more rain to Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts, with some areas expecting 1 to 2 inches of rainfall through Sunday.
Since March 1, Boston has recorded rain on 10 of 13 weekends, and this weekend may become the 11th.

Why It's Important?

The persistent rain and chilly temperatures affect various sectors and demographics across New England. Residents planning outdoor activities will need to adjust their plans or prepare for wet conditions. Farmers may face challenges with planting schedules and potential crop damage due to excessive moisture. The tourism industry, particularly in areas reliant on outdoor recreation, could see a downturn in business. Furthermore, the prolonged period of damp and cool weather can impact people's moods and overall well-being. The possibility of snow in higher elevations also poses potential hazards for travelers and those living in mountainous regions, requiring extra caution and preparedness.
