The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a flash flood warning and a flood watch for several areas in Massachusetts due to heavy rainfall.
The flash flood warning is in effect for southwestern Bristol County and south-central Plymouth County until 2 p.m.

Impact & Risks

The NWS warns of flash flooding in small creeks, streams, urban areas, highways, streets, underpasses, and other low-lying or poorly drained areas. Localized flash flooding is possible, particularly in urban centers if heavy rain bands develop. The risk is heightened for drivers, as most flood-related fatalities occur in vehicles. Residents in the affected areas should remain vigilant, especially in regions south of the Massachusetts Turnpike, where the heaviest rainfall is expected.
