Wildfire Toolkit and Educational Series Launched Ahead of Peak Season
US · Published Jun 15, 2026
Austin Air Systems has announced the release of an expanded Wildfire Toolkit and a new seven-part educational video series titled 'The Long Burn.' This initiative aims to provide accessible resources on wildfire smoke and its effects on indoor air quality and public health.
The toolkit includes public service announcements, expert interviews, and practical guidance for managing air quality during wildfire events.

Why It's Important?

Wildfire smoke can travel hundreds or even thousands of miles, affecting air quality far from the source. This poses risks to vulnerable populations, including those with respiratory conditions, children, and the elderly. Indoor environments are not immune, as smoke particles can persist in homes and workplaces, interacting with furnishings and ventilation systems. The toolkit and video series aim to address these risks by providing actionable information on preparedness, such as home sealing and filtration strategies, to reduce exposure and improve indoor air quality during wildfire events.
