Key locations such as Tribune Chowk, ISBT-17, and parts of Sector 18 were severely affected, with knee-deep water forcing road closures and traffic diversions. The disruption extended to power and water supply in major parts of the Tricity, causing inconvenience to residents. The rainfall exposed gaps in the region's storm-water drainage system, which struggled to handle the intense downpour.
