Impact & Risks

The formation of Cyclone 'Murasu' poses a significant threat to the eastern coast of India, particularly Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry. The storm is expected to bring heavy rainfall, strong winds, and high sea waves, which could lead to flooding, damage to infrastructure, and disruption of daily life. Coastal areas are at risk of severe damage to homes, roads, and power lines, as well as potential harm to agricultural crops and marine activities. The storm follows closely on the heels of Cyclone Arnab, which already caused extensive damage in the region.
