• According to FOX Weather, thunderstorms with damaging winds, hail, and isolated tornadoes are forecast for Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan. The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Level 1 out of 5 risk for cities like Chicago, Indianapolis, and Detroit. By Wednesday, the threat escalates to a Level 3 out of 5 for areas from Kansas City to St. Louis, with a broader Level 2 risk extending to Kentucky and Ohio. On Thursday, the system will move into the Northeast, impacting cities like New York and Washington, D.C., with heavy rainfall and localized flooding possible. Widespread rainfall totals of 2–3 inches, with isolated pockets of 3–5 inches, are anticipated across the Midwest and Ohio Valley.

Why It's Important?

The severe weather poses significant risks to life and property. Areas already saturated from previous storms are particularly vulnerable to flash flooding. Strong winds, hail, and tornadoes could lead to power outages, structural damage, and travel disruptions.
