Wind Advisory and Flood Watch Issued for Georgia Amid Severe Weather

A Wind Advisory and Flood Watch have been issued for large portions of Georgia as severe weather conditions develop.
According to the Rockdale Citizen, southwest winds of 15-20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph are expected from Thursday evening through Friday morning.

Why It's Important?

The strong winds may cause unsecured objects to be blown around, and tree limbs could be downed, potentially leading to power outages. Heavy rainfall increases the risk of flash flooding, particularly in low-lying areas and regions with poor drainage. Drivers, especially those in high-profile vehicles, may face hazardous conditions due to gusty winds and reduced visibility during storms.
