• The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) has issued an air quality advisory for several counties in Oregon due to smoke from multiple wildfires burning in Oregon and Washington. The advisory, issued on August 12, 2026, is expected to remain in effect until at least Friday afternoon, August 14,
• Counties directly impacted include Crook, Harney, Hood River, Jefferson, Malheur, Union, Wallowa, and southern Wasco. Intermittent smoke is also expected in Baker, Clackamas, Deschutes, Grant, southern Klamath, southern Lake, Multnomah, Umatilla, and Wheeler counties. Smoke levels may fluctuate rapidly depending on weather conditions.
