Impact & Risks

The extreme heat and humidity pose significant risks, particularly for vulnerable populations such as children, the elderly, and individuals with pre-existing health conditions. Prolonged exposure to these conditions can lead to heat-related illnesses, including heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Outdoor workers and those engaging in physical activities are at heightened risk. Additionally, vehicles left in the sun can quickly become dangerously hot, creating life-threatening conditions for pets or children left inside.
