The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a Flash Flood Warning for southwestern Greene County and southern Montgomery County in Ohio.
Heavy thunderstorms have produced between 2 and 3.5 inches of rain as of 1:24 AM EDT on Thursday, with additional rainfall of 0.5 to 1.5 inches expected.

Impact & Risks

Flash flooding poses significant risks to small creeks, streams, urban areas, and poorly drained locations. Roads, underpasses, and highways may become impassable, especially during nighttime when visibility is reduced. The affected areas include Dayton, Kettering, Beavercreek, and surrounding communities. Residents should be cautious as most flood-related fatalities occur in vehicles. The ongoing rainfall may exacerbate existing flooding conditions, increasing the risk of property damage and travel disruptions.
