A cold front approaching on August 27 will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms, reducing ozone development and dispersing pollutants. On August 28, light winds may transport thin smoke into the region, slightly raising particle levels. The Air Quality Index (AQI) for August 27 is forecasted at 42 for ozone and 50 for PM2.5, both in the 'Good' range.
