Delhi Launches AI-Driven Command Centre to Combat Pollution
IN · Published Oct 2, 2026
• The Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) has inaugurated a 24/7 Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) in Shastri Park to tackle air pollution.
• The centre integrates AI-based analysis, live CCTV feeds, AQI data, and GPS tracking to monitor over 700 construction sites and identify pollution hotspots.

Impact & Risks

The ICCC is expected to significantly improve air quality monitoring and enforcement in Delhi, especially during the winter months when pollution levels typically rise. By identifying hotspots and violations in real-time, the system aims to reduce the need for stringent measures like GRAP Stage-IV. However, the success of the initiative depends on effective implementation and public participation. Residents are encouraged to report pollution-related concerns through the newly launched Jan Suggestion portal.
