The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast widespread rainfall across several regions in India on August 14,
Northern states like Delhi, Haryana, and Chandigarh are expected to experience fairly widespread to widespread rainfall, with isolated heavy showers. Similar conditions are anticipated in Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and parts of Uttar Pradesh. Central and eastern states, including Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha, are also likely to see significant rainfall, with isolated extremely heavy showers in some areas. Southern states like Karnataka and Kerala, as well as parts of western India, including Maharashtra and Gujarat, are expected to remain wet under active monsoon conditions.

The heavy rainfall could lead to waterlogging, traffic disruptions, and potential flooding in urban areas.
