Impact & Risks

The 'poor' air quality in Delhi and surrounding areas poses health risks, particularly for vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly, and individuals with pre-existing respiratory conditions. Prolonged exposure to PM2.5 and PM10 pollutants can lead to breathing discomfort and exacerbate respiratory illnesses. Residents in areas with 'very poor' AQI levels, such as Uttam Nagar and Mundka, are at higher risk of severe health impacts.
