Heavy rains have been affecting the Delhi NCR region, including Noida, Ghaziabad, and Gurugram, since Monday morning, causing significant disruptions.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for parts of eastern and southern Delhi, while western and central Delhi are under an orange alert.

Impact & Risks

The heavy rains have caused widespread waterlogging and traffic disruptions across the Delhi NCR region. In Gurugram, low visibility and waterlogged roads have slowed traffic, while in Delhi, areas like Sangam Vihar and MB Road have experienced significant delays. The IMD has warned of thunderstorms and heavy rainfall, with some areas expected to receive over 15 mm of rain per hour. The adverse weather conditions pose risks to commuters and residents, particularly in waterlogged areas, and could lead to further disruptions in daily activities.
