• The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued rain alerts for 14 states as the retreating southwest monsoon brings a fresh spell of rainfall across India. Bihar and Jharkhand may experience thunderstorms and lightning, affecting cities such as Patna, Ranchi, and Dhanbad. In Delhi-NCR, moderate to poor air quality could impact residents, especially those with respiratory conditions. Strong winds in Rajasthan and parts of Jammu and Kashmir may disrupt daily activities.
