• A Flood Warning has been issued for several rivers in Iowa, including the Raccoon River at Des Moines Fleur Dr, the Raccoon River at Des Moines IA 28, and the Middle River near Indianola.
• The warning, issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) Des Moines, is in effect from September 30 at 4:48 PM CDT until October 2 at 8:50 AM CDT.

Impact & Risks

The flooding is expected to impact areas near the Middle River, particularly from Clanton Creek near Spring Hill to the Des Moines River. At 25.0 feet, water may affect parts of Highway G24. While the forecasted crest of 25.3 feet is below the record high of 25.6 feet set in June 2008, residents in affected areas should remain vigilant. Minor flooding could disrupt transportation and pose risks to low-lying areas.
