The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for much of Southeast Wisconsin, effective until 10:00 PM CDT on August 18,
This watch includes the counties of Dodge, Milwaukee, Racine, Kenosha, Fond du Lac, Jefferson, Ozaukee, Sheboygan, Walworth, Washington, and Waukesha. Storm activity has been observed across south-central Wisconsin during the early afternoon, with an additional line of storms forming in western Wisconsin. Officials are closely monitoring the situation to determine if the watch will need to be extended further east into Milwaukee, Racine, and Kenosha Counties.
