IN · Published Aug 31, 2026
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued rainfall and thunderstorm warnings for several regions across India.
East Uttar Pradesh is expected to experience isolated to scattered rainfall from 30th to 31st August, while West Rajasthan may see similar conditions from 3rd to 5th September.

Impact & Risks

The forecasted rainfall and thunderstorms may lead to localised flooding, waterlogging, and disruptions in daily activities in the affected regions. Areas such as East Rajasthan, West Rajasthan, and East Uttar Pradesh could experience isolated heavy rainfall, which may impact transportation and agricultural activities. In regions like Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, widespread rainfall could increase the risk of landslides and flash floods, particularly in hilly terrains. Residents are advised to remain cautious and monitor updates from local authorities.
