The frost and freeze conditions pose a significant risk to sensitive outdoor vegetation, including crops and plants. Unprotected outdoor plumbing may also be damaged in areas under the Freeze Warning. Residents in affected areas, particularly in Frederick, Westminster, Eldersburg, Buckeystown, and other communities in Maryland, as well as parts of Northern Virginia, should take precautions to protect plants and plumbing. The National Weather Service warns that failure to do so could result in damage or loss of vegetation.
