Impact & Risks

The advisory warns of hazardous conditions for small craft operators due to strong winds and high waves. Mariners should exercise caution, as gusts up to 33 knots and wave heights occasionally reaching 11 feet could pose significant risks. Recreational boaters and smaller vessels are particularly vulnerable in these conditions. Areas such as Grand Marais to Whitefish Point and Munising to Grand Marais are expected to experience the most severe impacts during the advisory period.
