Impact & Risks

The heavy rains have resulted in significant loss of life and property. In Assam, landslides have claimed four lives, including a family of three, while their 19-year-old son was rescued and hospitalised. Flooding in multiple states has disrupted daily life, with submerged roads and homes causing displacement and damage. Train services and educational institutions have been affected, further complicating the situation. Rising river levels in Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand pose a risk of further flooding, endangering more lives and property.
