The incessant rainfall has caused significant casualties and property damage in Uttar Pradesh. Hardoi district alone reported seven deaths, seven injuries, 30 cattle deaths, and 330 damaged houses. Sandila tehsil emerged as the worst-hit area, with two fatalities, six injuries, and damage to 87 houses. Statewide, 56 deaths have been linked to the prolonged rain. The inundation has disrupted transportation, daily activities, and agricultural operations, posing risks to livelihoods and safety. Relief efforts are ongoing, but the situation remains challenging for affected communities.
