The reduction in rainfall over Haryana and Punjab may ease waterlogging issues in these regions. However, heavy to very heavy rainfall in central and eastern India could lead to waterlogging, localised flooding, and disruptions to road and rail traffic. The IMD has also warned of potential flash floods in parts of Odisha, Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh, and Jharkhand. Farmers in affected areas are advised to ensure proper drainage in fields to prevent crop damage. Landslides and mudslides are possible in hilly regions like Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh.
