Tropical Depression Two-C, currently located at 13.0°N and 145.6°W, is maintaining an intensity of 30 knots (35 mph) as of the latest advisory issued by the National Hurricane Center (NHC) on August 20, 2026, at 11:00 PM HST.
Satellite imagery shows consistent convective activity north of the low-level circulation.

Impact & Risks

Residents of the Hawaiian Islands should prepare for heavy rainfall, which may lead to life-threatening flooding and mudslides, particularly in steep terrain and areas recently affected by Lala. Wind and wave impacts are also possible, although the exact track and intensity of the system remain uncertain.
