• The National Hurricane Center (NHC) has identified two tropical disturbances in the Pacific Ocean.
• Invest 95C, located southeast of Hawaii in the Central Pacific, has a high chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next seven days.

Impact & Risks

Invest 95C is expected to remain south of Hawaii, with limited impacts on the state. However, Invest 95E, regardless of its development into a tropical depression, is forecasted to bring heavy rainfall to parts of Central America. The ongoing El Niño conditions, which are expected to intensify into a Super El Niño, have already contributed to 24 named storms in the Pacific this season, including 13 hurricanes, 10 of which reached Category 3 or higher. These conditions could lead to further tropical activity in the region.
