Impact & Risks

The Heat Advisory affects a wide range of locations, including urban and rural areas across southeast Alabama, the Florida Panhandle, and parts of Georgia. Residents and outdoor workers are at heightened risk of heat-related illnesses such as heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Vulnerable populations, including the elderly, children, and those with pre-existing health conditions, are particularly susceptible. Prolonged exposure to these conditions without adequate hydration or cooling measures can lead to severe health outcomes.
