According to the State Emergency Operation Centre (SEOC), 105 deaths were directly linked to natural disasters, while road accidents accounted for 151 fatalities.

Impact & Risks

The monsoon has caused widespread human and infrastructural losses in Himachal Pradesh. Natural disasters such as landslides, drowning, and electrocution have claimed lives, while road accidents have added to the toll. Infrastructure damage includes blocked roads, disrupted water supply schemes, and power outages, particularly in districts like Mandi, Kangra, and Shimla. The destruction of homes and cow sheds has left many residents vulnerable, and ongoing disruptions to essential services pose risks to daily life.
