The ability to predict monsoon onset with greater accuracy can significantly benefit farmers and agricultural stakeholders in India. Delayed or inaccurate forecasts may lead to improper land preparation, affecting crop yields and food security. Additionally, water resource management and disaster preparedness efforts could be enhanced with improved S2S predictions. However, the study also highlights the challenges in achieving precision, which could pose risks if predictions are misinterpreted or not effectively communicated.
