Continuous Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Stations (CAAQMS) and manual monitoring stations are being deployed under the National Air Quality Monitoring Programme (NAMP).

Air pollution poses significant health risks, including respiratory and cardiovascular issues, particularly in urban areas. Vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly, and individuals with pre-existing health conditions are at higher risk. The economic impact includes healthcare costs and reduced productivity. The data-driven approach aims to mitigate these risks by enabling targeted interventions and long-term improvements in air quality.
