The high prevalence of anaemia among teenage girls in India poses significant risks to their overall health and development. If left unaddressed, it could lead to long-term health issues, including impaired cognitive and physical development, reduced productivity, and complications during pregnancy in the future. This issue also highlights broader systemic challenges, such as malnutrition and inadequate access to healthcare, which disproportionately affect vulnerable populations. The findings call for urgent measures to improve nutrition and healthcare access for adolescent girls across the country.
