• The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast widespread rainfall across various regions of India from 9th to 15th September
• Heavy to extremely heavy rain is expected in parts of Northwest, Central, Eastern, Northeastern, Western, and Southern India. Thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds are also likely in several states. Specific regions such as East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Odisha, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands are expected to experience very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall during this period.
