Large rainforest trees, particularly in the Western Ghats, are at risk due to extended droughts and heat stress. Urban trees may also suffer from the 'heat island' effect. Additionally, subtle ecological changes, such as delayed fruit production and altered animal behaviour, could have significant but less visible impacts. These conditions may exacerbate existing environmental pressures and threaten biodiversity.
